One quake, one coin: the first launcher takes it. Coins climb a log ladder: M1 at 5 K, M5 at 100 K, M7 at 500 K, M9 at 5 M. PAGER yellow or above, or casualties reported: never launchable. Launches pause during a disaster.

How a quake becomes a coin

The Earth moves

The USGS publishes every quake within minutes. seismo reads the feed every minute, with no key and no middleman.

The rule decides

M5.0 or more, no PAGER yellow, orange or red alert, no casualty or damage report. Anything else can never be launched. No town names, ever.

One quake, one coin

Any eligible quake of the last 30 days can be launched until someone takes it. Its coin carries the quake's signature and its real seismogram. No quake you like? Launch a free coin.

Questions

Why only quakes without casualties?

Because a coin must never profit from a human disaster. The rule reads the USGS PAGER alert and the USGS impact reports; anything yellow or above, or any reported casualty, is excluded automatically, and every launch pauses while an orange or red event is unfolding.

Can I launch without a quake?

Yes. A free coin takes your own name, ticker and image, with no quake attached. It launches on Stonks the same way, signed in your wallet.

Where do the seismograms come from?

From the global seismic networks (IU and II), through the public FDSN service of EarthScope. The site picks the nearest station between 3° and 60° and draws its vertical record for the 30 minutes after the origin. Nothing is drawn by hand.

What does the coin's market cap magnitude mean?

It is the market cap read on a log ladder, like the Richter scale: M1 at 5 K, M5 at 100 K, M7 at 500 K, M9 at 5 M. Each step up is a multiple, not an addition.

Where is the coin launched?

On Stonks (Raydium LaunchLab, StonkFun config), in the pair of your choice, signed in your own wallet. You are the creator. Trading fees: 1 % to StonkFun, 0.25 % to Raydium.

Can two people launch the same quake?

No. The database lets one launch per quake go through: the first one sent wins, the others are told before anything is signed or spent.
